Glenetta Krause v. State Teachers Retirement Board: Update

The Ohio Federation of Teachers, Ohio Education Association, and the Ohio Conference of American Association of University Professors filed an injunction to block the Ohio legislature’s recent attempt to take over the STRS board of trustees by removing four of our seven democratically elected board members and replacing them with eight government appointees. A temporary restraining order was put in place on September 17. 

The Ohio 10th District Court of Appeals has ruled against the State in their appeal to expedite the date of the oral arguments regarding the temporary restraining order. The arguments will be heard September 30, 2025, as scheduled.
