ORTA creates new Facebook group to promote chapter activities

ORTA has created a new Facebook group to make Ohio's retired and active teachers aware of all of the opportunities available to them through our county chapters throughout the state.

Chapters can submit posts about monthly meetings, classroom grants and student scholarships, volunteer opportunities, events and activities.

We will also post information about ORTA member benefits through AMBA and Passport Unlimited.

Please continue to check our website for updates about ORTA's advocacy for your retirement benefits.

POSTING GUIDELINES FOR CHAPTERS

• County chapters can submit posts about monthly meetings, classroom and student scholarships, volunteer opportunities, and other events and activities.

• Facebook doesn't check spelling or grammar so be sure to proofread your post before submitting it.

• This is a public group, so ask permission to post member photos in this group.

• Don't post personal email addresses or phone numbers.

COMMENTING GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERS

• Members are required to answer ALL participation questions before being approved for commenting.

• Comments should be in response to posts about chapter activities and events. Please stay on topic!
