Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association (HCRTA) sponsors Meet the Candidates event

Retired teachers met with Ohio House candidates Cecil Thomas and Rachel Baker at the September 15th meeting of the Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association. The candidates shared their views on issues important to retired educators.

Cecil Thomas is running to serve as State Representative for HD-25. Rachel Baker is running for State Representative for Ohio’s HD-27.

The Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association (HCRTA) hosts Meet the Candidates events—for local school board, STRS Ohio board, and the Ohio House—to help retired educators evaluate how political candidates support public education and retiree benefits.

The association hosts monthly meetings where members network, receive updates from ORTA on State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) policies, and engage with advocacy talking points.
