ORTA member Jan Stewart talks about how the loss of a COLA has impacted her life as a retired teacher.

In her book, These Are the Plunderers: How Private Equity Runs—and Wrecks—America, Morgenson criticizes STRS Ohio for "investing teachers’ money heavily in private-equity ventures that often kill unions, bankrupt pension funds and further hollow out the middle class."
