ORTA POSITION ON HEALTH CARE from 2008 ORTA Guidelines

Continue work with the Health Care Advocates (HCA) for STRS. Support legislation (HB315)to increase the active employee and local school district (board) contribution to STRS to provide dedicated stream of funding for health care.

Monitor and be prepared to participate in health care funding discussions for all active and retired educators.
