Veteran Rep. Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) was named to chair the House Finance and Appropriations Committee as part of several changes in panel memberships announced by Speaker Jon Husted.

The other chairmanship changes are: Rep. John White (R-Kettering), who takes over the Criminal Justice Committee and replaces former Rep. Robert Latta; Rep. Lynn Wachtmann (R-Napoleon) who will lead the Health Committee and replace Rep. White and Rep. Randy Gardner (R- Bowling Green) on the Finance-Higher Education Subcommittee replacing Rep. Shawn Webster (R-Millville).
