  • Neither of Ohio's U. S. Senate seats is up for election this year.
  • 18 U.S. House seats are up for grabs. Three do not have an incumbunt running for re-election and the other 15 are incumbents heading into the Nov. general election as the nominee. In 10 of those districts, the incumbents did not have a primary challenger.
  • In the state Legislature, 15 of the Senate's 33 seats are up for election. Even-numbered districts are decided in a presidential election year. Six of the candidates are current members of the Ohio House hoping to move to the Senate.
  • All 99 seats are up for election in the House. Races uncontested number 16 including that of Rep. Scott Oelslager, sponsor of HB315, STRS Health Care.
